Different Kind of Filters in Power BI Desktop(Visual , Page-level , Report level , DrillThrough)


This article will cover different types of filters in Power Bi What are the differences between visual level filters, page level filters, and report level filters in Power BI.

Visual filters These filters work only on an individual visualization, which reduces the amount of data that the visualization can see. In addition, visual filters can filter data and calculations. Page-level filters These filters work on the report page. Different pages in the same report may have different filters at the page level. Report level filters Filters work across the report, filtering all pages and visualizations included in the report. Drill through Filters  You can create a page in your report that focuses on a specific entity, such as a vendor, customer, or manufacturer. With this targeted report page, users can right-click on a data point in other report pages and then Drill through the targeted page for details filtered in that context.
